Our mission is simple: to translate the baffling dialect of taxes and business into plain, ordinary English you can actually use.
Who are we? We're a motley crew of reformed number-crunchers, recovering jargon-addicts, and people who have stared into the abyss of an IRS form and lived to tell the tale. We’ve collectively spent thousands of hours deciphering government websites so you don’t have to lose your sanity, your weekend, or your will to live.
Think of us not as a substitute for your accountant (they have very important spreadsheets to attend to), but as that friend who can explain complicated stuff without making you feel like a complete idiot. We're here to help you approach your finances with the confidence of someone who definitely didn't just Google "what is a W-9" for the fifth time.

Fair question. At our core, we operate on a pretty simple principle: You earn it, you should get to keep it. Our whole mission is to give you the knowledge to legally and intelligently stash more of your own money away for whatever it is you actually care about. And one day, probably after staring at a tax code subsection for seven hours straight, it just clicked. Tax... Stash... TaxStache. A brand was born.
